| Each member of CCA staff
has extensive experience in grant research, proposal
writing and grant administration. |
|
| First, sufficient time and effort
must be taken to understand the needs of the community
or organization. CCA assists with the preparation
of a strategic plan or needs assessment, including
the identification of specific projects and programs,
as well as the need for equipment or facilities.
Priorities are established. |
|
| Second, a thorough search of both
public and private sources is conducted to match
potential support with particular needs. Funding
sources may include government agencies, private
foundations, corporations and in-kind contributions
and private donations. Low-interest loans, loan
guarantees, tax credits and bonding are other potential
options for project funding. |
|
| Third, grant proposals are drafted
(including budgets and other supporting materials),
and submitted to the potential funding sources for
consideration. |
|
| If funds are awarded, the grant is
administered to ensure monies are expended for their
intended purposes, and that all program reporting
and requirements are satisfied. |
