 
This 2,000 sq. ft.home was owner designed/built using a slip-form
method of construction. Some of the design features include: passive
solar heating, thermal hot air panels, solar hot water collectors, wood
stove hot water heating coil, bermed walls, an open floor plan, and use
of recycled and indigenous building materials, such as on-site stone.
Each member will have the opportunity to design and
construct their own home or shared-housing, with the community.
Alternative building materials (straw bale, cord wood, slip-form stone,
etc.) and environmentally sensitive design features (grey water
recycling, composting toilets, passive solar, bermed walls, etc.) will
be used in each home design.
